The Story Behind the Shield
Operation Ground Shield Division was born from a simple truth: the strongest communities are built by people who show up. Veterans who served with honor. Entrepreneurs who take risks. Students searching for purpose. Professionals looking to make a difference.
We noticed a gap — veterans returning home often struggle to find their place in civilian life, while communities miss out on the incredible leadership, discipline, and heart that military service cultivates. We decided to close that gap with something timeless: conversation over coffee.
What started as a vision became a gathering. What will grow from that gathering is a movement — one that honors service, develops leaders, and connects people who share a commitment to something bigger than themselves.
