The Story Behind the Shield
K9S Ground Shield is the servant-leadership organization founded by Yelena Divinity (AgentMsDIVINE™), built on a simple truth: the strongest communities are built by people who show up. Veterans who served with honor. Entrepreneurs who take risks. Students searching for purpose. Professionals looking to make a difference.
The organization operates through multiple divisions — each one carrying its own HomeBase Code and each one supporting and benefiting K9s For Camo, the nonprofit providing PTSD-trained service dogs to veterans at no cost. Springfield, Missouri is home base: K9S:GSD-417.
We noticed a gap — veterans returning home often struggle to find their place in civilian life, while communities miss out on the incredible leadership, discipline, and heart that military service cultivates. We decided to close that gap with something timeless: conversation over coffee.
What started as a vision became a gathering. What will grow from that gathering is a movement — one that honors service, develops leaders, and connects people who share a commitment to something bigger than themselves.
